what we can do about the tweeker/thieves

We cant stop the thieves, no one can not even armies of police can. But we may be able to slow them down and move them to some one elses teritory.

Every one it seems is too busy to put together an association at this time ,including me, we have to work harder these days to make it. but if we dont do something swoon the regulators will, the news now has atleast 2 or 3 storys about copper thieves every day. this makes the police chief and the sheriff look bad, and that gets their attention quicker then the occasional murder, sad but just a fact. He will do what ever necessery to eliminate this embarrasment, but the secound thing , after trying unsuccesfully trying to stop the thieves, is to go to the local government, for new powers, laws and, regulation to try to stop the emberasing problem.

we can try this, instead of looking at your compitition as some one to avoid, we have to get to know them, this will be benificial in several ways.

you will soon learn who is on the up and up, and who is not.

the "honest" ones are just as concerned about the problem as you are.

    for your own loose association.

go to the local athoritys as a group and ask what you can do to help.

put a sign on your truck "I REPORT THIEVES"

    THEN DO IT

we have to stop any farther regulation that is sure to come if we dont get a handle on t his situation.

as a side benifit you may be able to turn your local scrappers into a sourcde for scrap for your back yard depot.
