I had just boxed up some boards for you then came on here to find out you aren't taking them at the moment... Doh, just my luck.

This just the reason why I am doing as I am. With gold as wild as it is....its not a good idea for me to take in loads. People like to have a set number and not have that number change.
I do not make $1.00 profit...I make on some items only $0.03 cents profit....how I make MY MONEY is by weight. The more I get and send out is how I make my money.
I agree with you easy. when you can go upscale to larger operation like yourself. Its not about making $1 per pound when you can send in 1000 pounds at a time. I dont blame you for shutting it down at all. You got your business to where it is today by being smart. I hope to someday go from parttimescrapper to what you have. Thanks again for all you do for this forum. If it wernt for people like you, oldude, gus, and a whole bunch of others I cant think of right now alot of us small time scrappers would be getting ripped of by others. Its people like you all that make this forum so great and cant wait for gold to go back up for you and all of us.
I just read this after I e-mailed you a price quote request. :-) Now I understand why Boardsort.com has apparently gone AWOL. I spent Sunday & Monday exhaustively going through my different types of boards and must have sent over 20 photos to get the grading and approval. Their customer service e-mail is "full" and their number is now disconnected. Interesting that they still posted prices. I'm not into bashing, but appreciate when a business keeps its associates/customers informed - - -that's simply just good business practice. It sounds like I may be sitting on mine for a while - - - wondering why I blew so much time on taking requested photos --- without knowing they were going to shutdown.
Very sorry to hear this. I am working on a new price list now..should be ready for Monday. I will keep you all posted. Its just that gold keeps going crazy so its hard to give pricing but still being "higher" than other e-waste companies so its a fight to the last dime...but not losing money either.
Kinda like a game of chicken...how close can you get to your profit margin to out pay everyone else but not lose money.....when gold is this crazy...its like playing chicken and russian roulette at the same time!
I got paid from Boardsort on Tuesday and sent it yesterday. Now their mailbox is full. I hope that doesn't mean this will be my last shipment. Probably just a glitch... I hope....
Opps. The other board is talking about this. Turns out that someone is attacking boardsort's email address... someone's playing dirty.
I'm glad I got my shipment out in time... BTW, they have a huge building complete with loading equip and docks. I think they are around to stay... or at least I hope so... otherwise, it's back to the 'Bay.Chris got spammed. I finally got through & this was part of our communication. Hope you don't mind me sharing, Chris.

My inbox here at boardsort is under siege by a mass spammer who scraped my email from the various forums we are mentioned in. It has actually gotten so bad that I missed a whole days worth of email because my inbox was flooded full.

"roaming the streets, looking for treats"
Thank wdaddy - I also heard back and got a nice e-mail back from Chris also. I got a little shook up with what I was reading, but I am old fashioned in that I like to have a live telephone number in case there is a need to verbally communicate. Thank you Easy for your clarifications and contributions here. I will keep an open mind with the pricing / shipping / stability established when hitting the post office (for any supplier). I am still not sure if anyone has any ideas on what gold will be doing in the next week or so . . .
