First of all, I checked the scrap locations thread. Didn't find anything.

Got a chance to get a large amount of aluminum. I've been going to this little scrap place here in town for my small time stuff, but was wondering if there was somewhere ya'll knew of that's better for big jobs. I've heard a few of the local folk talk about Texas being the best bang for the buck, but don't know that for sure. I don't want to really give any information away, no offense ya'll, but this is a pile of pure aluminum that I wouldn't doubt weighs several thousand pounds.



I was at the local scrap place a few weeks ago and aluminum was $0.60/pound. I know it's always changing, but I figure it's still around that same price. I get the feeling that the scrap place I been going to is the "middle man". Which has been fine for what I've been doing. But this would be worth traveling to get that extra buck. :-)
