    Most newer refrigerators (since about 1994) have 6 to 8 ounces of 134A which is worth 50 cents a pound on a good day. Residentual A/C's can have 1 to as much as 8 pounds of R22. Big roof units can have as much as 80 pounds of R22 in them. When you expect your shop to earn at least 50 bucks an hour, doing random evacuations for people for free is not cost effective.
