Anyone wana collaborate on a Youtube channel?

Wow!! Thanks I have been recently learning that we have inspired quite a few people. When we started to make our videos we really did not know where any of it will go. We just really enjoy what we do from garbage picking, ebaying to scrapping & video taping! So I just kept plugging away at putting the video's up. Now things are actually really getting excited in our youtube account and we are growing faster then we would have ever expected. AND we are still very small LOL However, here are TWO things off the top of my head that have helped us along the way:

#1. Chase your dreams, not your competition
#2. If you build, they will come

When we started the youtube account a little over a year ago I could not find much of anything on youtube about garbage picking and scrapping VERY LITTLE. We jumped into a market that really was untested, but I did not care. BECAUSE this is what we love! Second we kept at it. We did not give up and it took us up to just a few months ago before we started to see some significant results from a year of hard work. I think you get my point of what I'm trying to say.... Just do what you love and don't give up =)

I have found your videos from time to time and there is one thing. When you love what you do...people see that and rather work with you if they feel that you take it the same way as they do.

Kinda like when you see a doctor....you HOPE he LOVES to be a doctor...and its not just a job to him.

Making videos and posting information out on the web from what you do and from what I do and many other people on here. I know one thing...there are countless of family's who are able to feed there families at night and keep a roof over there heads.

ooo and BiggerHammer I remember watching one of the videos where I see your husband hitting the glass tube on the back of a TV...that "dust" that comes out has lead...you may not want him to "pop" them any more as he was in that video as that can turn bad in a few years....did not know if I should post on that video or not...I sided not to because I did not want someone yelling at me as alot of people do on YouTube when I try to give them a clue.

I'm so glad you brought this up, cause I have been wondering about this. I know that the inside of the tube is a vacuum and when we crack it the air sucks into the tube. How much lead could be escaping?? The reason we break the tube is because Kenny over 20 years ago remembers a news report where a guy carrying a tube fell on top of it and well that ended his life. The tube went right through his chest. So we always break the tube for that reason (but only the end). They are very heavy... In addition, Kenny grew up eating lead paint and clay trucks so he isn't right to begin with.. For some reason he has craved lead his whole life... LOL

However, I'm very curious because I always want to warn of any risks out there for our watchers. I'm just learning as I'm going. For instant I just learned about pcb today and mercury in bulbs a couple weeks ago. So please comment whenever you seen any of our videos because sometimes that is how we learn. I will never yell at you =)

There are some people on youtube who are just down right rude. I'm happy you are not one of those people =)

The lead in TVs is not the same in paint. Its worse as its small and alot more will get into your blood. It will also "sink" into yours hands if you are not wearing gloves. Its no joke and can be deadly if you do X amount of TVs a week now...mind you....you will have to DO alot....but keep an eye on the finger nails...you will see heavy metal poisoning there first...it will look like small rainbows, lines will go from left to right and the more clear the lines are...the more heavy metal poisoning there is.

IF YOU SEE LINES...GET TO THE ER

That means there is a huge amount of lead in your blood and that its now depositing the lead under your finger nails (both hands and feet) again this is LIFE THREATENING but..you dont need to drive 100mph to get to the doctor...but I would go to the ER and tell them you think you have heavy metal poisoning they will check right away.

There are a few other things that can cause the lines under your nails...Heavy metal poisoning is one of them. Even tho you have the lines under your nails..it could mean something else. But..you need to see a doctor. So if you BEEN working with things with lead..and you see the lines showing up...you may want to see a doctor THAT day.

P.s to move the tvs in a safe way that it wont kill you...hold the screen part to your chest and the tube away from you. This way if you fall the front of the screen is VERY strong..its about 3 inchs thick...all the other glass will brake first If you did happen to fall and it broke..there will be alot of lead...take a shower.

Best bet...buy a cheap wagon that you can load a few in and move them around...it will save you from hurting your back...getting lead on you..or falling ontop of the glass.

Once again as some of my post go...this is very long..sorry if I repeated my self a few times but if it burns into someones mind and they never forget...then I did my job.
