What are some complete scrap values on stuff like full towers, small crt's stuff like that?
What are some complete scrap values on stuff like full towers, small crt's stuff like that?
*face palm and use the search function. and there is no set price, every machine has a little more or less the what you expect to be in there. If ur getting the towers for free or under 5 bucks your doing good. Crt if you got the space for the trash you got the low grade board, yoke, wires (never pay for them).
So *usually* a tower will get more than 5 dollars? Or about?
The best way to learn these sort of things is through experience.
Get out there, break 'em down and crunch all the numbers. You will be a better scrapper/business man because of it.
But at my yard: www.rockawayrecycling.com and I am not selling anything on eBay or CL, how much is the max I should pay for a computer?
$5 plus steel weight of it is how my yard does it, there not loosing their asses
Ok thanks, I'm off to email some computer repair shops! And at my recycling center there is a big bin of computers and tv's. Does anyone know if I am allowed to take it, ok that's another email to send
I personally pay $5 or less per tower. I would pay a little more if I could get a regular supplier. Its doubtful that this would happen. This subject has been discussed by many who have a lot more experience than I. Go to the electrinics section and start reading. Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
if you are going to rockaway and you can drive, look in the buyers section there is an ewaste buyer in your area, i havent been there yet but im just trying to get enought to make it worth the drive.
look in the buyers section, who do you think rockaway is selling to, i dont know if they are but i can only guess.
Thanks, but is this all at scrap value??? That's what I am asking for, cuz don't you eBay stuff, or is the 5 dollar rule for all scrap value?
you really need to go read the electronics forum
Is it really much harder to say yes or no then say what to go read?
Scrappers pay 5 dollars for them and then break them down and sell the components separately.
at 9 post in i would say yeah, but hey u kept me amused.
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

if you are asking if there is more than scrap value in a computer there is a thread for that too.
some people fleabay stuff, some craigslist stuff and some of us just beat the crap out of it till we get goodies out of it.
$12-$15 scrap value in most."........
Thanks so much! I wanted a simple number, and you gave it to me. TTTTHHHHHAAAAAANNNNNNKKKKKSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I would agree on $12 to $15 scrap value. but why settle for scrap value when you can get way more than scrap value on some of the parts? I think I need to become a paying member of this sight so I can start buying stuff from the members here to resell on ebay for 10 times scrap value. Heck i just sold some ram and a dvdrw for a total of $30 that I got from a computer I paid $5 for. Would have scraped for like $1.50. Work smarter not harder. If you really want to know about scrapping computers this thread written by the coolist guy I know is right here
