    Hi, Maxa.

If you'd like, I can pm you some suggestions. I'm no expert scrapper, but I have a mean editor's eye.

Just post here on the thread to let me know, and I'll check back a little later. My pm inbox can only hold 3 messages...lol

Tip 1 - Forget the free websites, register a domain and get some webspace it really is no money at all. I simply close "free" websites down...

    A few tips.
    1) Your first page should have enough information to HOOK someone. If it's simply a link to somewhere else, people will close it.
    2) Free webhosting is ok, but I agree you need a domain. www.godaddy.com and register a domain. don't buy anymore of their crap, just skip all the way to the shopping cart. Pay your $12 and register a .COM domain. i personally think people still don't get .info .tv blah blah blah. then go to the domain manager and FORWARD your domain to this webpage. Use Forward with masking. it'll look like paid hosting, but it'll point to your free hosting. i built my site for free in wix.com and forwarded it like this. www.thortekrecycling.com it's really not hard, and it'll cost you $12 a year to have a real domain.
    3) if you only WANT trash, put pictures of trash on your website, but if you want nicer stuff, use nicer pictures. remember, your website's job is to sell.

I would have to agree with registering a domain. It just looks more professional than any free hosting places.

I'm a real stickler when it comes to punctuation and grammar; especially on a website that potentially thousands of people will see. Please don't take offense but I took the liberty to correct your entries. You can copy and paste this over your existing text or read through it and see what I corrected. I did not change anything, just made grammar and punctation corrections.

Thanks you for taking time out of your day to take a look at my site and make the world a cleaner place. My name is Max and i am the founder and main runner of Max's scrap metal. My goal is to keep as much reusable and recyclable materials out of the landfill as i can.

I would consider rewording "main runner of Max's scrap metal." Perhaps "I am the founder and operator of..." Also, your whole name should be capitalized as in: "Max's Scrap Metal" since this is your business name.

So now you may be wondering what is this going to cost me to get my scrap metal removed? That is a very good questions it will cost you nothing. I am offering a free pick up and drop of all scrap metal. Even in some cases we may pay you for getting rid of your scrap metal. If you have large amounts of scrap please feel free to call to get a quote.

I added some punctation after "question" and "nothing". I'm not sure what you meant to say with "I am offering a free pick up and drop of all scrap metal." If you meant to say drop off I would just take that out completely. Since you are removing items from people's places, you are not dropping anything off. Unless I read that wrong.

Also, if you plan on keeping your current format, if you are not going to be adding anything to your blog or photo album, just delete them. I for one hate seeing incomplete links, etc. on websites. I know you just made the site so you may be intending to add some entries to your blog, pictures to the albums, etc. but I just thought I'd mention that.

    I hope this helps!

Cheapest place to register is netfirms. Use this code when registering: promo495

Best place for hosting is: http://www.hostgator.com/ They have several packages. I personally have the business package. Right now it is like $11/month. When I ordered/now I pay $14.95 per month.

Not a bad site. However, out of 6 hosting companies, Hostgator.com is the only one who has been around and never went down. Plus, even with what I pay now (like I said, prices have dropped), I get unlimited everything, so to me it is worth it.

    Just a suggestion.
