    Mobile Home

I guy called me today asking me if I would demo a trailer home for him. The only problem is that it is its 3 hours away. How much would you charge?

God is great, scrap is good, and people are crazy

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping

You need to charge a fee for demo and haul bill to landfill. Best method would be to strip all you can and want to and then have a trackhoe come in and do final demo, load in dump truck and haul off. You should be left with the frame to cut up with a torch. Tour travelling distance does provide a kink to work out.

I used to have a crew to do mobile homes. now I only do them out of desperation, they are a big pain in the butt. with little if any profit. the clean up is worse then a regular house destruct, and its worth at least a thousand to just pull the floor. the gravy ( the frame) in any thing newer then 1985 is a joke. 600 lb for medium maybe 1200 for big with axles, and you will be lucky to get #1 for most of it.

Thanks for all the help. We are not going to do it. The highest price they would pay is 600 bucks.

I would do for $600 if they provided the removal. A nice big truck with some chains around certain spots could rip the walls off that trailer very quickly.

Is this a single or double wide. Can you burn the wood on site? How much help do you have. Give a little more about the trailer. I can say they are a pain. If you can get it done in 3-4 day you can make some money.
