Should I take the plunge and upgrade

I have always been a proponent of free internet ex: Craigs List but should I upgrade to scrap room member.....Money is not an issue but will my investment pay off...I know I will probably get a resounding yes, but give me your honest opinion scrap room members: How benificial has it been to your biz

I just did this not 10 minutes ago. I think due to the fact that this website had given me more knowledge in one place about scrapping it was well worth it to pay back to the creators of this great forum. That and I just sold more ram on ebay today so I had the money in the paypal account to upgrade. Now I need to make up an ad to place so I can strart buying computer scrap for ebay resell.

Oh yeah and tell me what you think of it I too Enjoy this site and probably spend to much time on here and not enough scrappin but that's why I have worked so hard to relax a little now and then,,,,When I first started scrappin I ran the roads 10-12 hrs a day and then spent a few hours a night breaking down 7 days a week...I don't think anyone could keep that pace forever...Anyways is it worth it

There are quite a few other ideas that you won't see here on the regular forum. The right one idea could start a whole nuther side business or an addition to what your doing now. Is it worth it, you'll have to be the judge. It was for me,,,

I would say not only are you gaining a wealth of knowledge. I use several of the ideas in there. But you're also supporting the place that you have likely gained immense knowledge from. Running a website might not be really expensive, but there's still some cost involved. I would hate to lose not just the option to talk with everyone, but the ability to use everything that's already posted.

I pretty much scan every post that is posted and to be honest I don't check which ones are because of my upgrade. I know I have made a ton more money because I learned how to sort things out and so was happy to contribute the $$. Not to mention the advertising you could benefit from. BTW I am always looking for the Scotchbuy out there, so if my tight a$$ can part with the cash you can too.

Speaking of tight a$$ here's the joke of the day...While out jogging the other day I heard applause coming from behind, without stopping I looked over my shoulder to see who it was and discovered it was just my a$$ cheeks slapping together.

I have the cure for that..... STOP JOGGING

I agree with the others one way or another its worth it to support forum. I pointed out in another thread that all I know abut ewaste recycling I learned here. I picked up lots of pointers here that made me money. I also graduated from a four year university and this experince has been far more profitable. So do what you think is right, Mike.

I could see you doing that too. Just hopefully it will be better than the existing ones.

I would have to say when I first joined the scrap room I was disappointed. Not as many threads as I expected, very low volume of postings, and the deep dark secrets - not so much. Almost all the posting goes on in the open forum. However there have been some very useful nuggets of information and with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I would definitely join again. Well worth it to me, and if it helps the site, even better.
