    Part Timers?

Just wondered if there are any "part-time" scrappers on here? I'm a full time teacher who got into scrapping about 6 months ago for fun/as a stress reliever. I use my wife's 2001 Honda Odyssey to pick up items, and borrow my father-in-law's truck for some of the bigger jobs I've had. As I said, I do this for fun but also for a little bit of extra on the side. I've read on here where some people have warehouses and/or storage units they use to work in. I store items under my deck until I can rip them apart. Smaller items I bring into my basement where I have a corner set aside to work in. I probably only turn about 300$ a month in scrap (give or take), but, like I said....its more of a hobby than anything. Anybody else on here like that? I think my biggest problem is how much I enjoy it....and how much more involved I want to get!

I think there's a couple others who hold fulltime jobs and do this part time.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I am part-time because I am in school (to be a teacher also), have young children at home, and also have health issues. Would love to do it full-time just because I LOVE everything about the business.

I scrap part time also. I work at a recycling center 40 hrs per week, scrap roughly 15-20 hrs per week, and repair computers on the side.

I've been a partimer since my fulltime business took too much of a hit in '92. At that time I could no longer afford to continue traveling the distances I needed. It's "Really" hard to give up the scrap metal mindset completely after you've become infected, so it's always been a part of me being a locksmith. It doesn't hurt that most locks have a brass content!

I also do this part-time. Or more like part-part-time. My hobby is storage auctions and just about any other auction. I had always done some scrapping (like 1 load a year) but from buying units got even more into it. My daughter loves the auctions, flea market selling, and now scrapping. She likes the breaking stuff apart to get ot the goodies part of it. All the rest she lets me do
