Looking for some advice on our magazine add

My brother designed this add for us so we can put it in our local stock car race magazine. My fathers business put an add in this magazine and had great response. Anyways we wanted something was simple and straight to the point with not a lot of jazz on it. I just wanted to know what you guys think. Is it straight forward? To the point? Any suggestions would be great.

If it works and you make some cash then you could put the logo on a car.

It is in the works. It has been for sometime actually. We should have a website in the next 3-4weeks. We will put it in the add once we get it.

may be a bit of usable space in that lower right, where it's kinda blurred anyway, great photo, just sayin, might be a good place to white letter your phone number again or something saying call today, little something encouraging action

Address/phone is too light. Darken it a bit to make it more readable/noticeable.

agree with Idaho too, that line from white to black might work better. As far as your question, being to the point, I think it's all pretty great

    Just my 2 cents.
I'm not sure about advertising in an auto/racing magazine for e scrap especially if your spending $$. What was your father's business? It may have worked for his business because it was related to racing. EX: He scrapped cars and racing folks are always creating piles of car scrap.
Ad looks good. Maybe some color in the logo like green. Green means "green" to a lot of people.
Maybe get tied up with some local computer repair shop. You know the one or two man operation and do a e scrap recycling day. Set up in a parking lot with a big truck your logo, the repair shop logo and advertise e scrap collection day. Push the proper disposal thing. Not filling up the landfills. Doing a public service.
Someone did that here a couple of years ago and traffic was backed up into the street. They advertised on the radio to get that kind of response. The radio station was involved too. Doing remotes. Maybe just a local thing in the local pennysaver type paper with local drop off point on such n such a day.
Basically I'm saying target your audience.
It's a very good looking ad.

I second this motion. Just have your designer put a light Drop Shadow behind your white text to set it apart.

Guys....Don't confuse Legitimate Racing with Hillbilly Truck Pulls. LOL! The guys who race for real, have $$ and their sponsors are typically business owners. Auto Racing draws a wide demographic. And to those who would make comments like "They don't know how to operate a computer"....I live next door to one of the biggest Autoracing School in the country. The guys in the high performance (Racing) degree program are taking Engineering and Math classes that would blow your mind! There is a lot of math that goes into turning LEFT...

    Fumes,
Thanks for the constructive comments. I think keeping stuff out of landfills is something that interests most people these days. As far as my dad, he owned a recycling yard dealing in mainly non-ferrous metals. That is why we thought we would place an add in there. Our add will be on the front side of the second page so we thought something that would catch someones eye would be useful. I agree with thortek though. Around here, (southern IL) Stock car racing is huge. And the community support for it is huge. They have huge sponsors like lucas oil, Oriellys, Pepsi ect. The weekly crowd tops 10000 people.

But again thanks for the comments. They really help
