Anybody ever been called on to scrap a boat and trailer?

So I have this customer that wants to scrap a boat. From the pics I'm gonna say it is a 30 footer, and it comes with the trailer. There is no scrap metal value to the boat, in fact it is fiberglass and wood and they started filling it with crap, and it has zero resale value so I am going to have to pay to dispose of it. The trailer is in good shape and all I have to do to take it away is inflate a tire.

    My questions are:
1.) What ballpark figure is the trailer worth? Certainly more than scrap value!
2.) How do I dispose of the boat? Break it up on the spot? Tow it away and break it up? Is there somewhere I can take it where they will take if for the usable parts?
3.) Am I crazy for considering this?

My thoughts are to charge the guy $600-$700 for the removal (but he''ll squawk over that) and then figure the rest out later.

boat parts are worth money. all the brass fittings etc. the trailer is worth $300 to $500 as is. stearing cables if operable are hi $ the fiber glass is a pain in the butt, but can be sold as a fish pond or a decoration to a mini golf place or amusement park.

there is a bar here that has a boat sitting in front all decked out like Gilligan's island! You're in Florida...Post a listing on Craigslist for JUST the boat for $100 No title as is...it'll be gone in a heartbeat!

If the suggestions given don't work out you could take it to the dump. I wouldn't spend time trying to break it up. Fiberglass sucks.

A few years ago I was headed to the dump and on the way I saw a guy coming back with an empty boat trailer. I arrive at the dump and sure enough, there's the boat in a sea of trash.

if the trailer is nice it should be worth $500 to $1000 if aluminum with good axles triple that as for the hull $100 and then sell them the trailer.
