LME al has been hovering around .90 for a while and so to get .50 for insulated with 65% recovery is very unlikely. Also, .47 for steel core cable is crazy. I don't get numbers like that and I sell around 1500-2000 pounds a month of al wire. Let's keep it real. If you have 100 pounds of acc wire and you get .50 cents per pound, thats 50 bucks, and your buyer ends up with 65 pounds of ec wire. If your yard is able to get .82-.88 cents I would be surprised, but let's just say for fun that they get full LME, maybe they are exporting, I don't know; that's only 58.50 for your 65 pounds plus they have to strip it. Not enough margin for those kind of prices sorry. The numbers go negative with your steel core price.
