there are 3 families that i know of around here that collectt all the cardboard.....they must profit from it.. they have hauled it for years....i dont see how they come out ahead myself maybe they just know something i dont.....say 30 dollars for 1000 lbs i geuse if they hauled 2000lbs of cardboard and get good gas mileage they could make a little.....might work for someone drawing a pension but i dont see someone making a living from it........of course unless you have a real good constant free supply of cardboard

from what I have read in other scattered posts, you get payed a lot better if you sell it by the tractor trailer load, or at least are a regular and negotiate.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

There is a guy in my town who has the contracts for the recycling roll off containers that waste management puts out. He gets it all. He pulls out all the cardboard and sells the rest to another company to recycle. He only keeps the cardboard..... He makes right around $400,000 a year. He sends all the cardboard to China. Not sure how much he makes selling rest of the recycling though....but he makes bank! What shocked me was he has the room to process all the metal that comes in those roll-offs(which is a LOT) and he doesn't do it.....crazy. Another thing that helps him is he has all this delivered to him. He does some pickups, but the bulk is is just laid at his feet.....if someone had the inclination to do so, I'm sure someone else with the capacity could STEAL that contract.

Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.
