    And interesting idea. Less trash is always better



    But I have to admit when I read the title I imagined something different. Here's a story from my childhood (or previous life, depending on how you look at it). I lived behind The Curtain then. In late 80s the Empire started to collapse and there were shortages of anything you can imagine. Basic goods like food. But the weird thing was, people were really ready to start rioting in many places when tobacco products disappeared. Not bread of meat, but tobacco. During that period, a glass jar full of cigarette butts would be used pretty much like hard currency. You could get a lot in exchange for that. And those butts surely were not used to make clothes...
