    Bottle Return Proposition

    I'm in Louisville,Ky. Their is no bottle return or plastic buyers here.

    Long story short I'm wandering if anyone in the bottle return states would be interested in going in on me with bottles.

    I mail them to you. You cash them in. We split the profit 50/50.

    Example:::
    If it cost me $15 to mail you $30 worth of smashed plastic bottles I get the $15 for mailing and we split the $15.

    If it cost me $20 to mail you $60 worth of material. $20 goes to cover the mail and we split the $40 profit.

    I'd really like to find someone in the states where plastic bottles go for .15 each.

    My name is Dillon.

    Hit me up if anyone is interested. We could do payments paypal, check or money order.

    I think you will find that your proposed deal very well might be against the law in state the they are redeemed in. I assume your state does not have a redemption program and would not likely be aware of the laws in the other states.

    Notice the redeem price is far above scrap value. The tax payers of those states are paying for the loss of these programs. Along with paying above scrap price the taxpayers are paying for the facilities, employees to operate them. Tread carefully before proceeding. Mike

    **UP DATE** I obviously did NOT read the question purposed, sorry. I expect the same legal problems would occur for the same reasons. The redeemed price would be far above what the scrap price would be and again the tax payers of that state are making up for the loss. Mike

    its usually does not work that way. I live in iowa with a 5cent return and can do so in states with the same or higher minus regulations of course but for example.
    usually in states that do not have return deposits they do not sell cans with it on them in that region not always but check your cans now plastics I have seen all over the place but as with both most can not be smashed when returning them. larger companies that use machines and what not have those contracts that bottling companies buy these back like bud buys bud cans and what they sell back and so forth with other companies so they buy the weight because of calculations of cans per pound which is why they got in a tizzy years back and still now over people popping tabs off the cans for charity and so forth.
    I say if your willing to go through all this effort to mail and smash I would suggest going ahead and compacting it for real to sell to plastic buyers.

    Collect those plastic bottles, bale them, and find a buyer. You won't get rich but it would be another revenue stream.

    another reason smashed wouldnt work is that most stores have gone to a self service redmption program. You have to insert the bottle and it reads the barcode to be able to be returned

    it is called stealing , hey I know times are hard but remember when you start stealing that you may get caught and the time and money will not seem so important
