New guy from Louisville KY need advice!!!

Hi everyone! My names Larry and I live in louisville KY. Im not really new to scrapping/recycling metals as I have taught my kids work ethics by having them do various things (crushing cans, stripping electrical wire etc..) for things they want to buy. I am at a loss! I am making sinkers and have called almost every tire shop around and cant find lead! All the shops i have contacted are either under contract with a scrap yard here to sell them to them or they send them to a corperate center to be recycled. They arnt allowed to sell them. years ago tire shops would be more then happy to have you come get them, now they wont even talk to you! does anyone have any ideas on who I could talk to about getting some lead? pipes, roof vents, wheel weights, old printing sheets, etc..

Welcome to the forum first off. Second I am in Radcliff Ky. I get some lead from JAZ car care here in town. Sometimes he will sell me abit other times he will give me some. Depends on what mood he is in. 2703515220 Ask for Tim. You most likely will have to talk to him abit. I have known him for more then 20 years. Sometimes he is a hard case to crack open lol. I also make my own sinkers an such. If your river fishing old nutts work and are cheaper then sinkers lol. I fish the Ohio ALOT an have lost many good sinkers in there. It may help if you tell Tim Rod was telling you he may part with some tire weights.
