    Gord is new in Oregon

I've always taken in scrap hunks of metal over the years but never really did it with much of a venegance. Never really scrapped wire or electronics (The sad part is I've been making computer chips for 20 years and I know what all is in there...how much gold and chrome in the old ones and some new exotics in the new ones....) I've started up very generically taking pretty much anything, I want to see if anything grabs my attention. Like today I ended up with a box of 100 brand new silent rocker 3 way switches...lol

I'm looking to meet any scrappers in the Portland Oregon area to understand your perspective on some of the local yards and what you do with some of your electronics.

Welcome to the forum. Perhaps you can educate us on the make up of cpu's. Use small words and lots of photo's to keep our attention. lol
Do youself a great favor and read as many of the old threads as you can that will make you more money. Mike.

Hi Gord. I have done a lot of internet searching and made a lot of phone calls to get prices from your area and I haven't found anyone who pays anything close to what you can get from the buyers on this forum for e-scrap. If you find anyone I hope you will share as it would save me on shipping. I am in La Pine (Central Oregon) but wouldn't mind delivering my e-scrap up there.

Welcome to the forum Gord. Have you ever dealt with Calbag metals in Portland?
