Red face Hey! Fellow scrapper from Dallas, Tx :)

Hello all! HappyScrappy here.. aka Sarah..
Me and my husband have been in the business of selling computers/electronics (mainly printers) for awhile now... We finally have our own little warehouse so our inventory isn't pilling up in our garage and house. We had no place to break down the stuff in our garage so for the longest time we'd just haul it to a yard and hope we'd get something for it.. Now that we have a lot more space we're looking into breaking down all of our scrap pieces! I'm not a total newbie to scrapping, but I'm def not a pro. Can't wait to get into the forums and get some good tips and ideas. Love sites like these!

Welcome to the forum. Mainly printers? Really? If I had a nickel for every printer I passed on...... Just too much plastic for me. I wish I was in Dallas. My main outlet for my electronics is out that way. Hopefully you use him as well. EasyRecycles? Again, welcome.

welcome to SMF! aka Sarah Are you referring to the extra large commercial printers? Those things sure have tons of plastic, I tore a couple down recently and really wish I hadn't torn them down so well. I took the metal to the yard, and most of the plastic is still out behind the barn, awaiting my first trip to the dump (unless I can find it a better home before that ; ) Hope you'll find lots of helpful info for your work

Thanks guys! Yes mainly printers and the worst... INKJETS! But that's as of right now - we like the laser printers especially for selling on ebay. When it comes to scrapping down they offer some pretty good boards, and yes there's a sh!t ton of plastic... We're not big enough to have a plastic baler, but with all these inkjets we may need to invest in one! lol...
We're looking into getting some jukeboxes and maybe some arcade games to scrap. We had a jukebox that I tore down yesterday and the particular model seemed to have some good pieces in it.. Lots of huge coil transformers and ton of wire. Going to check the forums for more info on them and see if they are worth it.

I took a load of arcade mother boards to my buyer and every one of them was what they call the "chinese boards". Just so you know, low grade motherboard.
