Pop Can Hunter.

I'm in Central Ohio. My main employment is lawn care. When I'm on a job site we have to pickup debris before we can mow, so I collect cans for recycling.

I was kinda joking there Stormin. Poptops are old, some people might not even remember em, or ever even see one nowdays. I'm constantly tilling them up in the old barnyard where I now have a garden, not sure though if they're from old beer cans or tractor oil maybe. Some people used to collect them

wasting your time recycling aluminum cans? Of course not, when I wasn't recycling anything else, I'd still save them cans ; )

I remember pop tops, people use to slice thiere fingers on them when they first came out, trying to get them off the can, real pita.

I keep a couple 5 gallon buckets and a garbage can in the bed of my truck. One for alum., one for copper, one for wire, and the garbage can for stuff that needs processed or broke down. You'd be surprised how fast the buckets fill up when they are right there.

It's never a waste of time when it's free money in my opinion. My place of work I. Ale just over minimum wage where there is tons of steels, e waste, etc which I get for free and wait until I've accrued enough of it to cash in and just save it for spending $ in college next year. Stormin, you're in a win win situation. You're on the clock and scrapping at the same time. Who knows what else you might come across while picking up debris.

Ok everybody in this forum has convinced me to keep collecting them cans.

I used to collect beer bottle tops/caps and super glue a a cheap magnet to them. My fridge door was covered with all the different ones i had.

That's funny--Up here in Canada, it's called pop, usually. Then my kid starts calling it soda, 'cause he is on the 'net so much he gets the US term for it!

I have friends that live in Michigan that call it "pop", although the way they pronounce it sounds like "pap".

Pop? Soda? Oh, you mean Coke cans.
