Been reading the forum for a little while, might as well join up and do the intro...
Bought (well, bartered, actually) some property from a distant relative (wife's side 'o the family), lots of debris to remove from 20+ years of Okie livin'. Couple mobile homes, 2 ton truck, corrugated siding/roofing, misc bicycles, small machinery, etc. all needs to go, so obviously trying to maximize return. Seems like a lot of dubious characters locally that want to "help" with the cleanup, but all signs I've seen are that they will create more mess than currently exists. Popular opinion says to dig a big hole and bury it all
...but then those are the folks that flip properties...we are going to build there and prefer to not live on top of it, and would rather repurpose/recycle what can be.
Not casting aspersions on the good scrappers, just figured at this point, might investigate doing it myself...or at least make contacts that will actually be beneficial to my goal of cleaning the property up and making it usable.
