    New can scrapper in Indy

Hey SMF! I've been facelessly lurking on and off for a bit, but finally decided I needed an account. I'm new to scrapping, but I'm going over all those stickied/linked posts for beginners right now. Considering I only have a little hatchback, all I'm doing are alum cans. I was hoping cover the gap between my financial aid and the cost of college textbooks (hey, every bit helps!). I have some questions about them (cleaning, crushing), but chances are someone else already asked, so I'll see if I can find it before posting (or if you know where those threads are, I'd appreciate a point in the right direction).

I found a positive to the drought in Indiana (and most of the US) - water levels have dropped significantly and revealed a gold (aluminum, rather) mine at the edge, and in some cases, bottom, of small bodies of water and (what used to be) rivers and streams. I'm starting with the two at my apartment complex. I'm guessing it's a good idea to ask the property manager/owner/office beforehand, if you don't live there. (Can't imagine many would object to "hey, can I pick up your trash? For free?" though.)

See you guys and gals around the boards! Happy scrappin'!

Wolf, it's always better to ask first, just to cover your you-know-what.
If your doing the college thing then keep your eye out for computers/parts, that's where the easy money is.
