Hi
I'm new to this forum and new to scrapping, but I hope to be good at both!
I've always been vaguely aware of the scrapping world. I once bought a van full of all different types of recyclables and when I was thru cleaning it out, it almost paid for the price of the van!

What I'm really here looking for today is info on glass insulators in old TVs. I was told by a glass blower friend that there is a rectangle-shaped piece of glass a few inches long that is a milky white color and was used as an insulator. I've tried to do some research on this before sourcing an old tv and tearing it apart, but I can't find any examples of this chunk of glass. He says that they were in 70s and 80s televisions. If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know.
