Avid beginner scapper from Eastern Long Island

Hey there, my name Is Andrew M, I'm 26 years old, went to Villanova and got two degrees there, biology and psychology. Currently I am working as a Child Care Worker for individuals with developmental disabilities. Its a great job, and very rewarding. Finacially speaking, I am always looking to make a little more, and being that I initially went to the school in hopes of pursuing an occupation in the realm of wildlife/environmental conservation, what better way to meld money and interest.



I began scrapping a couple months ago when I help my buddy with a bust should move some heavy metal machinary from his job site to a scap yard, and walk away with 200 in cash....Since then I am sold. I have visited PK metals which is right up the road from me, and they were very very helpful, whereas I went to Gershow in Medford, where it was extremely busy and over whelming--although their spot rates were mcuh better. As a member to this site, i will probably be starting off asking all the questiong. And my best help will be providing local prices per lb. Secondly, I am restricting by lack of stoarge space (I can only dedicated a large portion of my one car garage to it, plusl I drive a hyundai sonata) so I will be posting opportunites for locals to become aware of biggeri items, and bulk, so that they can benefit in ways i cannot.. well feel free to contact to hear more from me....and happy scrapping
