Guys,
Thanks for a venue that enhances and helps new guys understand metal recovery.
I am currently moving metals from medical devices that are full of aluminum, SS and TI intermingled within the device. We are moving them with a lot of plastic waste still attached and are we are looking to optimized the recovery with automation. Would you suggest a hammermill to remove the plastic or would you just shred it and get the metal out with a ferrous and non-ferrous separation. What are the pro's thoughts. Send me a PM and I will communicate with your in person and btw, we move about 4 million pounds per year.
