    hey guys!

new scrapper from union county NC. i used to bring tons of cans and bottles to the bottle returns when i lived in ct. no five cent return for bottles here, so i've just been collecting cans my house produces and what i find when i go on walks. i've been browsing the charlotte craigslist free ads and offering free e waste pickup (even offered a gift card in return), but not much luck. seems like everybody wants 10-20 dollars for their crt, that or they think i can repair their tv's . not looking to scrap full time- can't haul much with the tiniest toyota ever- but it would be cool to make some extra cash. are scrappers allowed to take items from landfills/recycling centers? if so, i'm definitely going hunting.

Landfills probably differ from place to place. One thing I do know is that taking anything out of a recycling bin at the curb is illegal and is considered stealing from the city/township you live in.

That law varies from city to city within Michigan, but it is usually the case, yeah.
