Cool Greetings from a new wanna be

Hello all, I am jayvee44, have very recently started collecting scrap copper and aluminum, and I mean only with the last month or so. I have always felt it sinful to throw out any kind of metal into he trash, however I have been convinced by a close friend who happens to work for the sanitation dept to just accumulate the alum and copper filled items. He did stress that patience is mandatory and will be profitable. My only problem will be my wife's insistence that I am crazy for collecting junk. Therefor I have been very neat and store the scrap in my shed compactly. The forum is very educational and helpful. Look forward to learning from you guys and gals and maybe sharing what I am learning with you. Thanks

Welcome from Massachusetts. Keep your pile neat and clean and when you cash out rhe first time give your wife the cash and she will be hooked. Worked for me.

Just get you some blue totes to keep your stuff in. You can keep a lot of copper/alum. in totes.
