Welcome to the forum DAVECCT. I am so glad to hear that your business is located so close to me. I work in a machine shop and I am in negotiations with the compoany vice-pres to buy their carbide tooling. The company is getting $8lb when they ship it back to the manufacturer, So I offered them $9lb. Also. I have quite a few contacts in the local "machine shop scene." I am hoping to get a few more accounts, but getting in touch with or waiting on a call back can be tough. So, for now, I just hope and pray.

when you guys say "shred" are you talking about the big rats nest like afro of steel shavings from a machine or manufacturing shop. If so that is usually made with some form of carbide.

"Shred" is usually a cheapest paying pile of steel made up of appliances, bikes and assorted misc steel.
