    MinneScrapper

Hi there everyone... first let me say I am amazed and humbled by everyones knowledge.. experience and advice. I am from Mn and so new to this, but it is exciting and time to educate myself and learning from trial and error! My husband and I recently became unemployed so we had to pawn/sell a few things as needed. ( material possessions-nothingy) we were also able to acquire a bunch of cans, brought them to scrap yard...$60 ( nothing to call home about...but hey i always strive to be optimistic and positive) We were hooked! I think it is a win win for everyone involved. I realize scrap is not just going to fall into my lap, so I am very motivated to get $ and be my own boss. I love the hunt, research, deal-making, variety, and recycling aspect!! we also have a family to support! it's funny this is not a new concept, but I feel like it is really catching on. Oh...and we only have a car but it works. Thanks to everyone on here. At first I thought it would be competitive but everyone on this forum seems like good people. WISH ME LUCK!

Everything is in the perspective. To a really hungry person, $5 can be a fortune. Welcome to the forum.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I've used my car for quite a while now and you can make it work. Good Luck, and be prepared to do a lot of reading when your not scrapping.

Welcome to SMF & good luck! Be looking for some way to add a trailer hitch to your car, they can be found at yard sales, flea markets, junk yards, shed cleanouts, etc etc. Then you'll be on your way to adding greatly to your load capabilities. You'll see scores of ideas here in old(and new) threads on ways to aquire a trailer very economically, or better yet, maybe even free(or if you're reallllly lucky) or paid to remove ; ) Best wishes for your whole family
