I just printed one out the other day. I think it was 4 pages. However, I don't remember where I got it. Just Google "metal identification" you will find what you need.

If you have an android phone you can download the scrap metal forum and theres a metal identification feature on there. Alot of people including me dont find the app very useful but its worth a shot since it free. They may have an iphone app as well but im not sure since since I dont have an iphone.

Welcome to the forum. You have much researching to do, and its all here.

Get a magnet. If it sticks...its ferrous (iron) not worth much unless you have a lot. If it doesn't stick...its non-ferrous and worth more.

Those fence post are steel and if they have concrete on the you need to knock the concrete off or the yard won't take it. First read as much as you can on this forum. Second find a good yard in your area that you go to and ask questions about the different metals and how they want you to sort it. Some yards will even give you a list of what they take and how much they pay. A magnet is a scrappers best friend, get one and keep it with you all the time.
