    New to scrap metal biz

    Hey Guys & Gals I am looking to get into the Scrap metal business. I don't know anything about it but I know some people that do really well and I would like to get into it myself. can anyone give me a quick overview of what to expect and how to get started? What kind of cash do I need in order to make money.

    Welcome to the forum. Taking some time to read through the old threads will provide a free education and get you set up for success. You can get material for free, charge people to remove but often tims you end up with misc stuff that you have to haul to the dump, or you can pay for scrap and process it then flip it to make a profit.

    Thanks I am in the Houston area and close to Louisiana so I am looking to get into scrap metal from the oil and gas industry ... Pipe and Turbines and any other large oil and gas items. Is there a section for that?
