Cool Hi - my intro & stuff

Hi there - my name is Yvonne & I am a different kind of "scrapper" - I buy & sell vintage costume jewelry, which is what I consider a form of "recycling". So, I am not a scrapper per say, but my boyfriend Robert is & he is really into it ! One of the reasons I signed up is because I am interested in what he does, & I am trying to be supportive. And, truth be known, he is too stubborn to do so himself. But I figure that I might learn a little more what he is about, & what scrapping is about. Thank you !

Welcome to the forum. Re-use is the best recycling so you are already in the club. I warn you if you read the old threads here you may soon know much more about scraping than he does, certainly in some areas of scraping. This may lead to more profit for you. It will also open you eyes to items you might walk by in your hunt for costume jewelry such as brass, copper, electronics etc. So proceed with caution, knowledge is power, Mike.

Yvonne, welcome to the forum. We'll help you to learn scrapping if you'll help us learn the vintage costume jewelry busness. Some of us go to yard sales and thrift stores but I for one don't know what to look for. Is there money in it? How do I know what it is worth? This is something I might like to get into.
