Hello from a new scrapper

I just came here after I noticed that the other scrap forum I joined had 0 views on the newbie page I had posted my question on. Then I noticed that nothing new had been posted on any of the topics for days and weeks do i guess no one goes there.

So if everything I type here looks identical to what I typed there ..... IT is. I just cut and pasted it. But seeing no one seems to be reading much over there then I doubt anyone will notice.

I am new to the world of scrap. maybe about a year. i only pick up items (mostly steel and iron) as i drive by them. I have gotten a few good trailer loads this year without any extra gas used : other than the weight of what I pick up using a little extra

I started separating out other metals and wire. Then I bought a few boxes of various extension cords and computer cables at some garage sales for around 20 cents a pound and turned them into #2 insulated at .90/ pound.

So I guess I'm hooked.

Just came up with a specific question so i looked for an answer.
