Hello from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Hey Everyone,

I am a part time escrapper from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and have been an avid reader of the forum for quite sometime now. You all have helped me tremendously in getting started and I hope someday I can be a help to many of you as well. This started several months ago as just something I was interested in but has turned in to something greater than that. My goal is to gather the knowledge (and connections of course) that it takes to turn this in to my full time gig. I am currently in retail management but I would love to one day own a business in the recycling field. Hard work is something I take pride in and I know scrapping is no easy gig but I am ready for the challange.

Thank you for all the help so far and in the future. I am very excited to now be an official member of the forum. I appreciate all of you for letting me be a part of this.

I liked "the boro", man, I didn't get down there much, but enjoyed it when I did. Lived in Nashville almost 20 years, the last 8 or so in Donelson, East of the airport(actually lots closer to Antioch), but the airport got right in the middle of lots of things there.

Bear its a good town. Its grown up a lot over the last few years. Also, I am pretty familiar with Nashville. I grew up there and just moved to Murfreesboro about five years ago.

I see a million scrappers around here, pushing carts down the alleys. I didn't realize, so many retailers were also scrappers.

Actually for some unknown reason I didn't care for em calling it "the boro"? Not sure why nope, it just didn't seem to fit for me. I moved back home almost 6 years ago now, so it really doesn't make me a lot of difference anymore. The last several years I was there most of the trips I made out that way were to the VA Hospital, at first was visiting a friend who was there for awhile, and later in picking up gov't surplus at their warehouse from auctions I had won. I never really visited the Stones River site, although I drove right past it many times when going to the VA. For the last couple years before moving, most of my excursions were more towards the Franklin area, where I began to get more interested in the many Civil War battlefields. Really wish now I'd stopped and seen the one at Stones River

If you are ever back down this way, the battlefield is worth checking out. It has a greenway that circles it and goes all over the city that is a pretty good walk. As far as why we call it the boro, I personally have no idea. I'm 24 years old and its been called that for as long as I can remember.

I don't know him but I know of the dealerships.
