just joined the site this morning and trying to get familiar with it in between a few other odd tasks today. my name is mike wood and i am from the st louis area. i have been scrapping since i was a boy and often have went back to scrapping during the winter months and other slower economic periods over the past 20ish years. i am currently primarily interested in e-cycling, and looking to learn more from those who may be more experienced than myself as well as possibly make a few contacts/friendships along the way. i started toying with junk electronics as a boy back in the late 80's early 90's and at various points in my life have become more obsessed with the habit than other times. i have also done just about every other type of scrapping that can be imagined at some point in life from picking up cans to operating skidsteers and chopsaws deep in the ground inside old mines to pull out the scrap in there and taking compressors and motors off of things. Whatever it takes to make a buck and be able to call myself "working" even if i am not currently employed has been my way of life. Looking forward to hearing back and getting to know some of you all.
