Cool New Scrapper in Huntington Beach Ca

Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm no stranger to scrapping growing up my father ran a hauling and cleaning up business for 35 years. From the age of 5 I was spending weekends and vacations working with him. We would demolish houses, garages, sheds or just clean out carports or whatever really. My dad would always make the crew sort and save all metal to be loaded on the truck after the job was complete. When we got back home I would help unload everything and we would save it in piles on our side yard. Once a month or so we would take a huge truck load to a spot in downtown Los Angeles and get some money for it.

Now that I'm older I've been repairing appliances and reselling them on craigslist and also picking up any scrap metal that I see on the side of the road or listed in the free section on craigslist. I found this forum and I want to take my scrapping to the next level and I want to learn any new tips and tricks of the trade that I can utilize to make some extra income for my family. Please feel free to message me if you have any tips or ideas that you would like to share with me.

I'm working with a 2006 tundra right now and I'll be either buying or building a utility dump trailer very soon.

Hello and the very best tip I can give you is just take some time to start reading and maybe taking notes. All the info you need is here, you just have to take the time to look it over. Like someone said, there is a collage education here and it doesn't cost a dime. Welcome to SMF Univ.

There's a lot of guys who have a lot to teach us here. If you've been doing this since you were five, I'll bet you'll teach us just as much as you learn.
