    It's Day One for Me

    Hi all!

I'm starting to think about retiring from NY state service as a psychologist (and, man, did some of those folks need me!). My experience scrapping so far has been to return the deposit cans and bottles that pile up at home, paper drives when I was a kid, and one pick-up load of aluminum siding from a remodel job. I'm mostly thinking of this as a "green" hobby which might be able to pay its way, and if I can learn enough to recognize that "pot of gold" or "pile of copper" if I trip over it, then it's all good. I've been reading through the posts on the forum and I like the "vibe". Hoping to learn enough to ask decent questions, and maybe eventually offer something useful as well.

Hello from Denver. I find scrapping to be very therapeutic and I get paid to do it.

Welcome, goobieguy. I retired nine years ago from the VA as a Counseling Psychologist.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
