    Howdy Howdy

I'm not just new here but also new to scrapping. I have read a lot and learned a lot from other scrapped but have yet to "dive in". Main reason is only vehicle I own is a compact car. Soon that will hopefully change. I am currently eyeballing a nice truck that I may buy within a month or so.

Anyway I live in NC and scrapping/recycling fascinates me. I find it pleasurable (I have "got my feet wet" a little so far). I would love to make it a career someday.

Just posting to say hello and that I hope my stay here is enjoyable to myself and others.

Welcome to the forum. I live on the coast. I might point out we have a member who was picking up scap and putting it in his back pack. So start where you are. Mike.

I think we also have a member on here that rides a bike with a small trailer. He's getting it done the only way he knows how.

I have used a car for small loads but I want to have the ability to do big loads. So far my typical "loads" tend to be related to e-waste and copper. I want to expand into steel as well :P

With a safe load capacity of about 800 pounds and myself being about 250.. not much left for steel.

Welcome to the forum. More money in e-scrap than in metal, copper and brass is good also. Graet things come in small packages.

Scrapping and nice truck do NOT belong together

Scratches and dents happen, a lot.
