    New here from SD

Hi guys, my dad was a scrapper, hoarder and genius, I have picked up only the first 2 traits. What I did not learn from him, I learned from scrapping, asking questions and working in a scrap yard, that being said, I will always be a novice but when the day comes that I know everything is the day I will be struck speechless and removed from this planet. It did not take me 5 minutes to realize the value of this site and pretty sure I will join the lifetime members soon. I have bought the family "farm" and will enjoy a lifetime of cleaning this mess up, salvage yard, old farm machinery, ect. Looking forward to all you guys have to offer.

Hello Jack, welcome to SMF! Good luck with your project. I spent a winter up in the Black Hills once, and enjoyed a month or so stuck in McLaughlin after a blizzard. All in all a pretty nice trip

Welcome to the forums from off the coast of NC!

Like Miked said, make sure you post up some pics of the 'family farm' as your clearing it out. We get excited over things like that, we're simple like that (ok just me but whatever). :P

My best piece of advice to you would be...Grab a cold beverage( your choice, I won't judge), kick back an count on spending many hours reading and searching, and reading some more!

Good luck to you, and look forward to seeing some updates from you.
