    Hi.....

Just thought I'd say hi. I've found the forum quite helpful in my everyday work but will now start to post a bit more. I work for a scrap metal company in The UK which is looking to expand into buying WEEE (mainly IT waste). Aim is to maximise profit as I have a feeling I am letting some things go far to cheaply

Thanks, probably more than they are worth lol. E-Waste isn't especially big in the UK and there is a lack of information from the companies that do specialise in it. I have found this forum the best source of info out of any other sites out there. While I will be selling my motherboards in the UK I am probably going to ship smaller weights (RAM, CPUs etc) to the US. The value in the US is almost double what it is here and even with shipping I'm hoping it will be more profitable. I may be wrong but it is worth looking into.

You might also find a shipping container load worth checking into. (only a rambling thought ; )

I'm not sure i would feel comfortable sending thousands of £'s worth of stock abroad in one go That's why it would mainly be the things i have in lesser quantities. If i were to sell 66lbs of gold edged memory in the UK i would get around $600, if i ship it i'm looking at around $1080. Shipping would cost me around $150.
