    My name is Fred.

I am a general contractor and sometimes run accross recyclable material. I prefer to recycle as to haul it to the dump. It's not about the money for me, although it helps, but more about keeping stuff out of the landfill. I may be asking questions here a lot. actually I have already asked one. Hopefully this is a freindly place to hang out from time to time.

Welcome to the forum Fred. As a new member here myself, I think you'll find it a nice source of info and knowledge. Most people are more then happy to answer any question you might have. If you're in doubt about something, check older threads, and if you're unable to find an answer to your question, post a thread.

    Fred-
I am in the same line of work as you are.. And it is nice for certain to pull scrap.. especially when the other guys on the crew.. don't care about some leftover HVAC material, brass water valves or much of anything else. I am constantly picking through the dump trailer saying "Who in the heck is tossing this" I have told them 100x or better- leave it aside for me, I'll scoop stuff every end of work day (I rehab duplexes for the most part) None of them ever listen.. so I dive the dump trailer! Good to have a fellow contractor with the same mindset! :-) Welcome to the forum!
