Check with your scrap yard about if they take things like air conditioners or microwaves. Up here, they charge to take anything with freon. And there is a HUGE fine for deliberately cutting a line to release freon into the air.

What about something like a DVD player? I was gonna just junk mine - these days, I either use a gaming system or my computer to watch anything, so the player just clutters my space. It's not too much material, but there's gotta be something there, no?Originally Posted by Mick

I can post some pictures of stuff, if you'd like, so you can give me a better idea. I really have no idea how much they're willing to take, but I assume most anything since it is called scrap.
