Newbie from So Cal

Hey all.



Just joined the forum. Not looking to profit from scrapping, just a do-it-yourself kind of guy. I'd rather make something myself than buy Chinese junk. It gives a sense of accomplishment, is better for our economy, and leads to a greater appreciation of the multitude of products that are so easily impulse-bought and discard. I remember when I was a kid, learning what the bottle redemption value was all about, and that returning the bottles to the store would generate new bottles in their place. That made so much sense to me. I think many years down the road we might just start harvesting landfill sites for materials, lol.
