    Arrow scrap semi trailer

Area salvage contractors have offered $1500 apiece for 4 trailers. Is this reasonable? Or, should I have my crew scrap them out if we have NO experience doing this. Thanks, Tom

i think they should go for more to people looking to buy them for covered storage, but i have also seen 40ft shipping containers go for $600 at auction

I would come back at him at $2000 apiece and see wat he says. If he says no then well you know where the value is.

$1500 is about the scrap value of each one depending on size, wieght, how much aluminum etc.....I would take the $1500 and have your crew do something else more productive

I was given this 43 ft reefer box for a case of cold Budweiser but I spent about $500. getting it here and nudged into place.
The upside is I now have an insulated weather tight building to work out of........I just need two three more to hide the rest of my junk.

It really depends on what trailers you have. I've scrapped a log trailer and got under $500, but an aluminum dump trailer brought in over $2000. The van trailers will vary. If you have a wood floor and it's insulated, grab the $1500. If you have an aluminum floor and no insulation, you might do better.

I do think they are better for storage than scrapping though.
