Hey im 18yo and from N.C. I got into scrapping about a year ago. I had no idea about scrap until my father-in-law mentioned it to me. I live in a prodiminately rural area and scrap is abundant. The first week, I hauled 6k worth, needless to say, I was hooked. I made enough in one month to buy a 16ft trailer. I also have a chevy 2500 w/ is good at pulling loads. I started a removal company, primarily focusing on appliances, scrap, copper, and cars. I usually haul anywhere from 10-15k lbs a week. So enough with the talk. Thanks for having me!!!

I'm just wondering, what is so unbelievable about hauling 10 to 15 thousand lbs a week? Im just curious, beccause I dont know what urban area you live in , but i live in rural N.C. and scrap metal is almost an abundat resource as water around here. Not to mention the fact that thats not a lot when you have 3 employees, 2 trucks, 3 trailers, and every tool necessary to move any form of scrap metal there is. Just wondering???

A job I did last fall I used a 14 foot trailer and a Chevy 2500. Hauled 35,000 pounds in 2 days. Is that impossible? Wasn't even my truck or trailer.
