    New guy from South GA!

Hey everyone, i'm Chris and i'm new to scrapping. I started about 2 months ago when i chopped the mufflers off my car and took them to a local yard. After that i realized it is actually good money for me. (being a high school student with no job) I have been back to my yard every 2 weeks with various auto parts and metals. I mostly have stuff like Cads, Aluminium, Steel, or Copper. I'm wanting to expand to other metals and learn some new ways to scrap.

    Good meeting you all,
    Chris

Well, you came to the right place, all you have to do is take the time and do some reading every night. The answers to every question should be here already. There is hints and tips galore.

And if you decide to get into escrap in addition to the other scrapping, then we have good buyers for it here also.

Welcome to the forum Chris. Don't let scrapping get in the way of your schooling, you'll have lots of time to scrap after your finished with school. Glad to see young people getting into scrapping.

Hi Chris, It's good to know one of our youth is taking the initiative to appreciate the wide world of scrapping. That's conservatism at its best. I hate waste, myself, and although all of my endeavors have not been profitable or even wise, I'm at least pleasing myself in my golden years to think I'm doing myself and the world a favor by appreciating the value of 'waste'.

Of all the hobbies available to us, scrapping is both fulfilling and rewarding. I admire those who have made it their major source of income (which is now a struggle with the current prices). Keep at it, Chris, and tell us what you find out there.
