Andrew, you will get more help if you introduce yourself and read a lot of the old threads. there are many threads on here covering e waste and a whole section devoted to the buyers.
Welcome to the forum, introduce yourself and I will welcome you again.

ok, you can put them on eb@y and take whatever the auction closes at, minus fees, or you can look up the buyers on here pick one and send in your stuff and get paid. with what you have, I wouldn't think you have enough to send in yet. what happened to the motherboards that you got the ram and cpu's from?

edit: read as much as you can on these pages, the information is abundant

I took everything to the yard. its my first attempt at any kind of e scrap. what little information I had was to just not let the yard have rams and the cpu's. im sorry to be an annoyin soul, but I have never used a forum before so I am learning all this at the moment. I have some old school ic too (I think that's what they are). im sure you guys love when you get a newbie here that has no idea whats goin on

you probly don't wanna sell all that at once, not sure if the markets could withstand it. Consider listing the ram one at a time, and spread it over several months, so as not to upset the current rates

less than 50.00 for everything. im sure I could have got more. were 6 computers and less than 50 bucks. I honestly don't know what the going prices are for parts and how far I should be tearin them down. I gave them the mother boards, power supplies, hard drives, and floppy drives. had everything sorted, but not much money in anything. thus the concern weather to continure to try to make money out of scrapping or not?

The very best advice is to read, read, read. Why read more because each thread you read will teach you things you didn't know you didn't know.
Second best advise is hold your computer scrap until you read a lot more. Best of luck and where are you in NC, Mike.

What was the prices per pound on each?

How much for motherboards, how much for hard drives, etc?

Also, does that $50 include the cases and wires?

all I knew was to not let the yard have the rams and the cpus. everything else I researched was the yard would take it and give good price. I think I have to disagree. lol

Like miked said, don't sell anything else computer related until you have read a lot more here and know what you have and what it is worth. The only thing my scrap yard gets is empty cases.

check the scrap buyers and sellers forum, there's a link right at the top of the page. Look for computer scrap buyers. Most of them have a current price list at the start of their thread

If that was 50 for just 6 computers then you got a good price for the other parts.
