    Hello from Maryland

Hello I'm Leon and I'm from the "free state" that isn't so free anymore; any of you firearm loving individuals probably know what I'm talking about. Well anyway I have not scrapped anything besides aluminum cans when I was a kid and pieces of aluminum left over from my family business. Recently I've become fascinated with the idea of taking something that is looked at as useless and turn it into money. I've already went through a few threads and some write ups on dismantling things. There seems to be an endless supply of things that one could scrap. I'm trying to think what I should start scrapping first and where I should go to get the best price for my scrap. I have a few local scrap yards I'm going to call after this weekend to see. How many hours a week do you guys dedicate to scrapping? Any full time scrapers out there? Seems like one could make good money doing it full time. I'm thinking of getting a few trash cans to toss varies metals in from possible items I pick up. It's good to be here I look forward to learning more about scrapping.
    Thanks

*Yes my location says Pa and I live in Md but I'm looking to get out of this crappy state.

Hello from Denver. Usually something scrap related 7 days a week...some weeks it's well over 40 hours other weeks not much going on. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Welcome aboard from Indiana. I escaped the "Land of Taxes" years ago but still have family in Western Maryland. Good luck with recycling and relocating.

There are lots of opportunities in MD for escrap. Because of the government, lots of escrap around. Feel free to contact me if you want to chat. randy@rokrecycling.com
