Hello everyone! My dad was a mechanic who saved every scrap of metal he ever got his hands on and as a kid I picked up a thing or two from him. As I struck out on my own I've never had the space to do any scrapping but have always thought about it. Now that I've finally got a house with a nice garage of my own I finally decided to dive in to scrapping this year during our annual town spring clean up. I started reading the forums looking for tips on tearing apart tv's, microwaves, and a few other things. I've learned lots (like for instance I would never have known that it was worth picking up any old computers) and hope to continue to learn from the community.
