    New to scrapping in the Detroit, MI area

    Hello everyone,
    I have just recently started scrapping & am interested in knowing what the best places are in the metro (as in right next to) Detroit area for selling scrap (and specifically e-waste/compuwaste as I have more access to this). Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I have already found a few in Michigan listed in that section but they are far from here. I was hoping to find a local source but if it is potentially better to ship the material I will have to investigate further. I see some posts on shipping calculations so I have some work to do.

    I ship my ewaste from Massachusetts to Ohio and it runs about .45 cents a pound with prepaid labels.

    Your not that far away if you had enough escrap. I drove 5 hr each way a few times. You have multiple buyers each direction from you.
